5 myths about rabbits BUSTED

 1. they are low maitenance  , short term,  beginner pets

rabbits are not low maintenance they need to be brushed nails clipped lots of toys  and MUCH more , and they can live up to ten years or more being taken care of well. they are not beginner pets. but this is not to scare you away from getting a rabbit just informing you so you know what to expect and can take care of them the best way possible. 

2. don't need to see the vet 

just like any pet rabbits need to see the vet at least once a year so just save up some money for a rabbit vet check up once a year. 

3. rabbits are happiest outside in a hutch 

NO rabbits are not happy outside plus there are a lot dangers outside for rabbits because they are prey animals  some of the dangers being birds, raccoons, heat, coldness, lighting storms rabbit should be inside just like dogs and cats do.

4. rabbits smell 

so do rabbits smell? rabbits them selves do not smell they have cells that make it so that they them selves don't smell the only reason a rabbit would smell is because they have a heath problem or can't groom them selves or it's a special needs rabbit. now sometimes the rabbits habbitat  well smell but thats only when your not cleaning it out or the litter box. 

5. are fine living in a very small cage 

rabbit are not happy in a small cage and can get very bored any possibly over wight it's just not good to have a rabbit in a small cage. so what size of enclosure should my rabbit be in? well 4x3 play pen is the recommended requirement put with rabbits the bigger living space you for them  have the better!
